(Project) Implementation Manager

Airbotics Talent have exclusively partnered with an innovative global unmanned vehicle / robotics manufacturer, who operate in the AgTech market, to recruit a Implementation Manager to support their growing customer base in Washington state with potential travel to California and internationally on occasion. Candidates must live in Washington (ideally east of the Cascades) or be able to relocate, and willing to travel to customer locations. My client may support relocation for US based candidates who reside out of area.
The Role
This role is a key customer-facing role, charged with ensuring that deployment of products are successful and commissioned, accepted, and integrated in their customers’ operations. A key focus is creating a successful and positive experience, which meets customer expectations and drives repeat purchases through further rollout of products in the customer’s operation.
The position comprises two distinct parts. The first is pre-planning with the customer and internal teams and the second during commissioning acceptance and integration, where the Implementation Manager is expected to be onsite (often for an extended period) while the machines are fully signed off. The role is responsible for leading the customer interaction and acting as a bridge between the customer, Engineering, Service and Product teams, feeding back on the performance of the machines to continuously improve their products and services. There is also an element of project management/administration in terms of managing, monitoring and escalating where required to achieve these objectives.
The Person
The ideal candidate will have:
- Worked in the AgTech field previously (farming equipment, robotics or autonomous systems) or a similar complex environment.
- Have successfully delivered multiple technology-based projects.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience as Project Manager, Delivery Manager, Implementation Manager or similar.
- An in depth knowledge of project management techniques and tools.
- Ideally an Engineering, Project Management or similar Technical degree or qualifications (although this is not essential).
- Similarly Project Management certification such as PMP, PMI, PRINCE2, CAPM or similar would be advantageous.
